Week 11.1 Exchange meeting


Averils Meeting

Fashion: making pants, dress, top, lace. Finisged 2/5 garments.







Industrial: made a cad model of packaging and will 3d print, then a clay mold. meant to hold pills, capsules and suppliments, bio balance is the company theyre working with.

VCD: Changed idea from coffee mugs. fruits in suits, chefs come into workplace to teach people to make quick meals so they can take a break and cook food for each other.







Spacial: Altered design since last time. Dog friendly house, done lots of renders on sketchup, floor plans.











Taras Meeting








From my last meeting I was able to observe a lot of nearly completed work and also share my teams work with two other vcd students. We were then met by the fashion student of our exchange meeting who showed us her almost completed work of which we had seen sketches 2 meetings prior. It was really awesome to see a different disciplines process and to hear what was still needed to complete her project. To see different approaches to the wellbeing brief was also rewarding and to provide feedback to others.

Week 6 - Class 1 We have found from our research that nostalgia and social events are successful ways to encourage millennials to live in the moment.  We are currently thinking to create an event revolved around nostalgia which would remind millennials how much fun they had before they had their phone. Today we began to protoype our event idea by showing a few participants nostalgic images to start a conversatoins about what is nostalgic for different people. surprisingly millennials are very nostalgic compared to other generations, so we believe a social event involving nostalgia in some way would be a successful strategy to encourage millennials to put down their phones and live in the moment by rememebering the past. We want to remind millennials how much fun they had in their childhood before they had phones. Millennials were a lot more engaged with their surroundings when we didn't rely on technology.
