Refining touch point 1

Week 8

After doing some research and some more sketches I've finalised an effective form of promotion. Going off the idea of games, I thought of the idea of having digital touch screens that people can play actual childhood games on. this can include the guess who idea and other games like, connect four, match two of the same and many others. These screens would be placed in a few bus stops around town, with one on either side so people can verse each other.

As soon as people see the screen with their favourite childhood game on it they will be engaged and intrigued and what to play it. This will also encourage people to connect with one another as they will have to compete against another person to play the game. After the game is completed another screen will pop up saying 'flashback friday, relive your childhood' and encourage people to find out more about this future event. A benifit is the when people are interecting with this screen they wont be on their phone, which ties back to the essence of our event.

The screens would be around about a month or 2 before the event begins in order to gain interest and build excitement among the audience. The idea of having these screens around awhile before the event allows enough time for exposure, as ideally people will spread the news of this event by putting photos on social media, therefore promoting it by word of mouth. Flashback friday will then be a resonably anticipated event that people will be excited for.
